As we prepare for the upcoming season, Vermont Fusion is excited to host Fusion Futures sessions for players born between 2017 and 2014. These sessions are not tryouts—they are designed to help us assess player numbers, evaluate current skill levels, and begin placing players on teams that best support their individual development.
When & Where:
Tuesday, August 12th
Location: Manchester Rec – Eckhardt & McClellan Fields
- U8 (2017–2016 birth years): 5:00–6:00 PM
- U10 & U12 (2015–2013 birth years): 6–7:15 PM
What to Expect:
U8 Session (2019–2018):
A fun, low-pressure session focused on foundational skills and small-sided play. Parents are invited to a brief info meeting where we’ll introduce the structure of our club, the early-stage development model, and the core values that guide Vermont Fusion: Accountability, Community, Growth Mindset, Integrity, and Dedication.
U10 & U12 Sessions (2017–2014):
Players will rotate through skill stations and game-play scenarios aligned with U.S. Soccer’s six key player principles: Technique, Insight, Mobility, Personality, Communication, and Mentality. These sessions help us understand each player’s developmental stage to ensure team placements offer the right balance of challenge and support.
Looking Ahead:
Following the Fusion Futures sessions, we will announce team placements and coaching assignments for the upcoming season. Our aim is to provide each player with:
- A clear developmental pathway
- A positive and supportive team culture
- A coach aligned with their long-term growth
At Vermont Fusion, we prioritize development first—on the field, and as part of a strong, connected community.
